Fall TV: What I'm Watching

Hi Fabs,

I know we are all sad to see the summer go but Fall has always been my favorite season. The brisk air, awesome fashion, yummy treats and all my favorite TV shows return.  I found a full list of the season premieres but here's a few of shows that I am super excited to see. Get your favorite snacks ready and let watch some awesome Fall TV.

 Sept 21:

 Series Premiere: Minority Report (Fox, 9 p.m.)

Based on the sci-fi film,  the plot is set 15 years later from the movie.  The series focuses on a male Precog who teams up with a female detective to find a purpose to his gift to predict crime. I am excited to see if the show lives up to its movie predecessors. You can check out a trailer of the show here. 

Sept 22: 

 Series Premiere: Scream Queens (Fox, 8 p.m.)

Another new show from Fox, Scream Queens seems to be a funny spoof on horror movies with your favorite young actors/stars. Here's the trailer.  

 Sept 23: 

Season Premiere: Empire (Fox, 9 p.m.) 

Cookie and the Lyon den are back and I cannot wait. This season seems to be as fierce as the first with a multitude of guest stars, fly fashion, banging new music and drama by the boatload. Trailer's here.
  
Sept 24:  

Season Premiere: Scandal (ABC, 9 p.m.)  Teaser here.

Season Premiere: How to Get Away With Murder (ABC, 10 p.m.) Small teaser here.

 Shondaland is back with two of my favorites and I cannot wait to see how these two leading ladies handle the drama this season. TGIT, baby!


This is my current short list of shows I am geared up to watch this Fall season. Last year, I felt there were more exciting new shows but this year not so much. I am still excited to see my favorites!

Call It Quits! My "Quit" List



Hi Fabs,

Lately, I've been reevaluating everything in my life and I have decided to quit a lot of things. So, I created, "My Quit List."

1. Quit bashing my self. I have a tendency that if things do not go a certain way I expect them to, I start bashing my self and blaming myself. That stops today.

2. Quit comparing my self. With social media and every other form of media, it's hard not to look at them and compare what they have to what you have. That stops today.

3. Quit unhealthy habits.  Everything from eating junk food to thinking negatively are unhealthy habits. That stops today.

4. Quit settling for less. Sometimes, you believe you do not deserve the best and should settle for what's available. That stops today.

5. Quit complaining.  Everything will not always be sunshine and rainbows, but there's no need to complain about it. If we have all the basic necessities to sustain life, some have much less, so why complain. That stops today.

6. Quit procrastinating. Tomorrow isn't promised. We need stop putting off things we need to do and start completing them today. That stops today.

7. Quit laziness. Sometimes I just want to sit on the couch all day and granted, you are entitled to relax some days but being lazy all day is not good. Get up and do something, even for 30 minutes. That stops today.

8. Quit toxic relationships.  Friends, family and boyfriends/girlfriends may be draining and not adding anything to your life and may be causing unnecessary drama. That stops today.

Self Care Saturday

Hi Fabs,

You may have heard all around the internet about #selfcaresaturday, but not really know what it is. I believe the term was coined by the funny blogger, Luvvie. In short, it is exactly that taking care of yourself, mentally, physically and emotionally. As women, some of us have this "superwoman" complex and believe we can do it all. But you can imagine how much of a toll this is putting on our self-health. Ladies, we have to make time for ourselves. Here's some way I "self-care."

1. SOCIAL MEDIA HIATUS. Too often, we get wrapped up in what people are posting on social media and then feel the need to "compete".  In this competition, we work oursleves to death trying to do better that what ever the next person. Don't do this yourself. Always, remember people are posting what they want you to see and omitting things they don't want you to see. So, cut all of the devices (for as long as you can, realist over here) and just take a deep breath.

                              


2. JOURNAL. Sometimes, we just want to vent but we don't have someone we want to talk to about a particular thing, journaling is made for that. I love playing my favorite music and just reflecting on everything in my journal. I draw, scribble, and just write everything.

3. GET A MASSAGE. Seriously, how much tension do you have built up in your neck right now? One of the easiest ways for me to take care of myself is getting a good old rubdown. I feel like a whole new person after a massage.



                   

4. EAT A GOOD MEAL.  Eating healthy can be stressful and sometimes setbacks can make you feel worse about yourself. But allow your self to have some thing you like every now and then. Just live and have the steak.

                  


5. DO WHAT MAKE YOU HAPPY. The whole point of #selfcaresaturday, is to take care of yourself. That can mean anything to you but it just means do whatever it is that make you happy. Take a break from it all and schedule some "you" time.
