Style Icon: Majorie Harvey

Hi Fabs,

Here's another dose of my style "praise". My latest style icon is Mrs. Marjorie Harvey, the mother of seven exquisite children and the beautiful wife of funny-man Steve Harvey. "God-Momma Marge" as I call her,  has her own blog called "The Lady Loves Couture" and yes, she does love couture. You can always spot her front row at the most fabulous runway shows, but not before she stuns with her Instagram posts.

Not only does Marjorie exude style but she is gorgeous and her body is fabulous. So, if you need a daily dose of this style icon, check out her Instagram, Marjorie_Harvey!

Current Favorites...(February 2015)

Hi Fabs,

I'm back with what I am loving this month. I am loving midi-skirts lately, I feel like they are flattering for all body types.

Bibs are having quite a moment now, this one I chose does not disappoint.

Fringe has made a comeback in a major way and is showing up everywhere, so why not in this delicate blush color.

Check out my current favorites. Also, head over Nordstorm they are having a huge sale, tell 'em Karizma sent ya!

Single Girl's Guide to Valentine's Day

Hi Fabs,

I know, Valentine's Day is here again and we are still without our version of "Chuck Bass." But do not fret, you can still can make the most of V-day.

1. Do not panic! I know, it can be stressful to see the endless Instagram posts but think about it as just a day and it will past like everything else does. Also, believe in timing and the best things come to those who wait.

2. Use Valentine's day as a time to treat yourself. Buy yourself flowers, candy or a nice pair of shoes because you know it's also President's weekend, which means ton of sales.

3. Hang out with people that make you feel loved. Isn't that what V-day is really So, spend some time with your family or friends.

4. Give a gift to someone special in your life, possibly an elderly neighbor or a coworker.  Giving always is the right thing to do. Kindness is the best policy.

5. Go out on the town with your other single gals. Make sure you dress to impress. You never know,  you might meet your soulmate.

6. Stay in with Netflix, your comfiest PJs and indulge in your favorite treat. (Mine at the moment is popcorn mixed with Resee's pieces. Yum!)

7. Spruce up your online profile, if you are online dating. No better time to get attention.

8. And last but not least, love your self. Make a few "self-love" notes with your favorite quotes and stick them up around your house as a reminder of how awesome you are.

I wish you all a wonderful Valentine's Day! What are your plans for V-day? I'd love to hear!

Biggest Night in Music!

Hi Fabs,

So, if you weren't on Twitter or Instagram, you are probably living under a rock and therefore, should not continue reading and try to get a better living situation.  Since I live for music and fashion, the Grammys are right up my alley. The performances were "meh" but the fashions are were its at! Here are some of last night's styles.

Can we talk about the Madonna's Matador chic? If anyone does this well, it's Madge. The queen of the all the pop b*****! Say hello to your mother!

Kevin Mazur/WireImage
Katy was dripping last night. I mean figuratively, hopefully not literally. Any one believe that Zuhair Muhad can do no wrong? Loved this look on Katy!

Donatella (er, I mean Lady Gaga) killed it last night. She was tanned for the gawds and her cleavage was popping. This is the best I've ever seen her. Thanks for leaving the meat dress at home.

Out of control! Nicki killed the carpet, giving me all kinds of fringe life! She looked flawless, her hair, makeup and everything set it off! Nicki, keep the wigs and clown costumes on the shelf, you do chic very well. My choice for best dressed.

I found it! My missing pink loofah from my bathroom. Rihanna donning a very pink and very fluffy Giambattista Valli dress. Sorry, Rihanna, while you are always spot on, you missed the mark on this one. Now, I need to take a shower, please give me back my loofah! Thanks!

Iggy, baby, what happened? The dress fits amazing and the color was perfect. But who can take their eyes of the "basket" on her head. What is she hiding in there?

Steve Granitz/WireImage
Cat's out the bag, I am Sia. No, Kirsten Wiig is Sia. Who is Sia? What's under the wig? I want Sia's wig. Kirsten Wiig in a wig. Feels like a Dr. Suess book.

J.Lo, come and get your knock-off! I like nothing about this dress, why are the pockets so big? Are North's baby toys in there? It looks so heavy. And I could of done without a glimpse of Kanye's man-boob. Definitely a miss.

On another note, how amazing was John Legend and Common's performance to end the Grammys? Such a powerful moment!

Seeing the Same Everywhere! Another "I Left My Job" Post

Hi Fabs,

Do you ever get the feeling that once you do or talk about something, you start seeing it everywhere? Well, that has happened to me recently. In December, I decided to resign from my full-time job at an investment firm that I have been at for six years. After resigning, I started seeing all theses articles/blog posts about "Why I Left My Full-Time Job". I started wondering if everyone was just discontent with their work or was this the Universe telling me that it is going to be okay. Trust me, this was one of the hardest decisions, I have ever faced in my life. To leave the security of steady paycheck, health insurance and 401k to not knowing what's next, is very difficult.

In a previous post, I mentioned that I was contemplating whether or not to leave my job and what's next for me. Well, I decided that it was best for me leave that job. There are several reasons why I left, but the biggest reason was lack of fulfillment. I decided that I would rather leave my job than stay and search for another position in an unfulfilling environment.  I know, everything online says that you should never leave a job without another having another lined up. For me, I didn't think that I was fair to me or my employer to actively be searching for a job on their "dime" and I had become totally disengaged. I wanted a fresh start and a new perspective.

I am afraid, nervous but excited. I do not know what is next for me. I love the freedom of making my own schedule and catching up on things I like to do. But I do have some moments, when I rethink my decisions. Not regret, but I replay the scenario over in my head. The uncertainty is hard to deal with at times but I am content that my faith and belief will put in me in the right position.

Thanks for reading!
